With Liquid Pass, you may carry up to 3 containers of liquids, aerosols or gels larger than 100 ml in your hand baggage, according to the relevant carrier’s policy, for a total of up to 2 litres. It is important to check before purchasing the service that individual containers do not exceed 13.5cm in diameter or in base length.
Liquid Pass is available in T1 and T3 terminals (flights to the USA and Israel excluded). The cost of the service is €5 per person, and you are required to book and buy the service online. The containers will be examined and, if they are allowed for transport in the cabin, they will be sealed in special bags which can be presented at normal security checks or at the QPass gate. If containers of liquids, aerosols or gels larger than 100 ml are not allowed for transport in the cabin, they may only be boarded as checked baggage, in compliance with current regulations, and except in cases where, by order of the Public Security Authority, they are forbidden on board.
In addition, in case of transit at an airport outside the European Union, containers of liquids, aerosols or gels larger than 100 ml checked at Fiumicino airport may not be allowed in the cabin, depending on the regulations in force at the transit airport.
